Tapas Theatre - American Realism

American Realism in theatre represents a commitment to depicting everyday life and the struggles of ordinary people. Emerging in the late 19th and early 20th centuries it sought to show the world "without a filter"

Tapas Theatre will be staging versions of two Pulitzer winning plays from this genre. With the use of heart wrenching dialogue and realistic portrayals, Icebound by Owen Davis and A Long Day Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neill reflect our worlds and our universal struggles. Enjoy an evening of epicurean delights and pure drama in the beautiful George Arts Theatre.
