A Century of Empowering the Visually Impaired Community in Malaysia

For 100 years, St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang has been dedicated to transforming lives through education, vocational training, rehabilitation, and essential support services for the blind and visually impaired community.

Since 1926, the Home has journeyed alongside thousands of visually impaired individuals — empowering them with skills, independence, dignity, equal opportunities, and the confidence to thrive in society. From early education and mobility training to vocational empowerment and community integration, every step of this century-long journey has been made possible through the support of compassionate individuals, organisations, and the public.

As we celebrate this historic 100th Anniversary milestone in 2026, we warmly invite you, your family, and friends to join us for a meaningful day of food, community spirit, and charity at our special Food Carnival! ❤️

Why Support Us:
・❥・Our goal is to raise RM 150,000 to cover the operating costs of the Home.  
・❥・  Your support enables us to run various programmes such as Early Childhood Intervention Programme (EIP), Deaf Blind and Multi-handicapped (DBMH), Vocational Trainings, On-the-job Trainings, Senior Care and Social Care Services, empowering visually impaired individuals. 
・❥・To raise awareness about eye health and preventable blindness. 
・❥・To create a culture of inclusivity where the visually impaired individuals can fully participate in society.

🍃 Join us in supporting Penang Green Council Enforcement, please bring your own recycled bags and bringing your own cutlery. Penang State will enforce a full ban on single-use plastic bags from 1 September 2026.

📍 Location: Field of St. Nicholas' Home, Penang (Enter via the Persiaran Midlands entrance)

i) Purchase coupons (RM 50 each)
ii) Be a cash donor (Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated)
iii) Be our event partner (Donation of RM 5,000/RM 10,000/RM 15,000/RM 20,000)


RM 50 coupons are available at our main office, Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. And you can also purchase the coupon at the coupon counter during the charity food carnival. 

Parking Information:
Parking is available at St. Nicholas' Home, MBPP parking lot along Jalan Persiaran Midlands, Midlands One Stop Centre, Penang Chinese Girl School Union and Indian Association of Penang. Free parking lots are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis (RELA and the traffic volunteers will assist you). 

This charity food carnival is organised to support the Home’s ongoing operational costs and the continuation of free training programmes and essential services for the visually impaired community in Malaysia.

In today’s challenging economic climate, every contribution — big or small — carries great meaning. Your support will help us continue creating opportunities, promoting independence, and ensuring that persons with visual impairment receive the support and equal opportunities they deserve.
