With the pre­sen­ta­ti­on of BOEM #6, the plat­form cele­bra­tes its first publi­ca­ti­on of 2026. This edi­ti­on marks a sig­ni­fi­cant sca­le-up: star­ting this year, the zine has expand­ed its for­mat to pro­vi­de an even broa­der spec­trum of artists with a stage.

Tij­dens de Vrij­dag­avon­den presenteren we 9 weken lang een pro­gram­ma rond één of meer­de­re kun­ste­naars, een col­lec­tief of orga­ni­sa­tie. We bie­den loka­le part­ners een plat­form. En we stel­len kun­ste­naars cen­traal waar Kunst­hal Gent momen­teel mee samen­werkt. Iede­re vrij­dag­avond is anders: van talks en filmvertoningen tot gesprekken, queer readings en manifesten.

During Friday Evenings, we present a 9-week programme around one or more artists, a collective or organisation. We offer local partners a platform. And we highlight artists with whom Kunsthal Gent is currently collaborating. Every Friday night is different: from talks and science fiction to lectures and book presentations.
