We often feel pressure, both as leaders and followers, to do the “right” thing and avoid making “mistakes.” But this cerebral approach keeps us in our heads when, in reality, dance is all about expressing yourself and connecting with your body. Cedric and Romane will share tools to help you redefine “mistakes” as opportunities. By the end of this weekend, you won’t just accept mistakes—you’ll want to make them. You’ll welcome and even invite them, so that dance becomes more than just a sequence of moves; it becomes a shared, co-created experience. Don’t worry—everything will stay within the container of zouk. On this second day of workshops, we will explore textures. We believe that everyone has different goals when they dance—ours are to enjoy and feel good. And there are many ways to achieve that. One of our favourite ways to create these sensations is by playing with different textures and contrasts. We’ll see how, by starting with simple and accessible concepts, we can build up to movements that look advanced or even crazy—all while staying rooted in a feeling-based approach to dance. ? ??????? She later discovered herself as a multidisciplinary dancer at the age of 19, exploring various dance forms such as kizomba, salsa, contemporary, afro, floorwork, twerk, circus acrobatics, and pole dance. However, where she truly expresses herself is within the world of Brazilian partner dance, zouk. Her unique approach to this dance style is influenced, surprisingly yet truthfully, by thousands of videos on social media, and this remains her primary source of inspiration. Zouk has taught her, and continues to teach her, valuable life lessons in presence, connection, self-confidence, communication, and it deeply informs her love in many ways. ?? ????? ??́????: renowned for his smooth leading, Cédric boasts over 30 years of martial arts experience, teaching for two decades. Beginning couple dance with tango 15 years ago in Marseille, he's earned recognition for his modern and alternative style. Discovering Brazilian zouk in 2014 through Xandy and Evelyn's videos, he's been teaching it for six years, largely self-taught, with additional training, including 40h privates with Leo&Ana. Recently, he advanced his lambada skills by completing Ariel & Letícia's Level 2 course.
