Jazz, hiphop, r&b, Chicago house en soul: Hill heeft lak aan hokjes en gooit het allemaal in de blender. Resultaat: een uiterst opwindende mix zoals op zijn laatste album ‘Composers Collective: Beyond The Jukebox’. Op die plaat nodigt Hill bevriende muzikanten uit om zelf een nummer te componeren met hem in gedachten. Drummer Makaya McCraven en gitarist Jeff Parker (Tortoise) zijn maar enkele van de bekende gasten die op het voorstel ingingen. Maak je klaar voor een broeierige en zwoele jazzavond die nog lang zal nazinderen.

Sonic Hug is het project van Louise van den Heuvel. Dat de bassiste bezig is aan een onstuitbare opmars, is een understatement. Ze speelt bij Zwangere Guy x Lander Gyselinck en Dishwasher_. Voor Sonic Hug spant ze samen met pianist Hendrik Lasure (SCHNTZL), saxofonist Werend Van Den Bossche en drummer Daniel Jonkers. En voor vanavond gaat ze zelfs XL met  dwarsfluitiste Lucia Pirès en gitarist Vitja Pauwels. Samen tekenen ze voor een sonische knuffel vol elegante grooves, kristalheldere zang en experimentele jazzescapades.
