20:20 Start Ecstatic Dance muzikale reis met  Dj Onca (Spain)

Onca is a Venezuelan-born, Barcelona-based Ecstatic Dance DJ creating progressive musical journeys rooted in rhythm, emotion, and embodied presence. Blending earthy percussion, global grooves, organic electronica, hypnotic trance, bass, and lyrical textures, her sets move through grounding, expansion, intensity, and release.

Drawing from her Caribbean roots, years of travel, and her background in the kitchen, Onca approaches music through instinct, texture, and transformation. Alongside her work as a DJ, she is part of the organizing team behind SHINE Ecstatic Dance Holiday in Corfu, bringing together international artists, facilitators, and dancers. Her dancefloors are spaces where movement becomes ritual and music brings people back into the body.

✨ Wat is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance is een vrije dansreis waarin muziek je uitnodigt om uit je hoofd en in je lichaam te zakken. Er zijn geen pasjes, geen choreografie en geen goed of fout. Je beweegt precies zoals het op dat moment voor jou klopt.

Of je nu uitbundig wilt dansen, rustig wilt bewegen of even wilt stilstaan... alles is welkom. Je bent vrij om helemaal op jezelf te dansen of in verbinding te bewegen met anderen. Beide zijn even welkom. Je volgt elk moment wat voor jou goed voelt.

Ecstatic Dance is een plek waar je spanning kunt loslaten, nieuwe energie kunt opdoen en je vrij kunt uitdrukken, zonder oordeel.

Iedere avond openen en sluiten we samen met een kort ceremonieel moment. Zo creëren we een veilige, warme ruimte waarin iedereen zichzelf kan zijn.

Ecstatic Dance ontstond ruim 25 jaar geleden op Hawaï en verspreidde zich ondertussen over de hele wereld. Sinds 2014 brengt Ecstatic Dance Gent mensen samen in een warme community waar vrijheid, verbinding en authenticiteit centraal staan.

Onze eenvoudige richtlijnen

? No Shoes
We dansen op blote voeten of op zachte dansschoenen.

?️ No Chitchat
Tijdens de dans laten we woorden los en communiceren we via beweging, oogcontact en aanwezigheid.

? No Alcohol or Drugs
We dansen helder en bewust, zodat iedereen zich veilig voelt.

? Respect & Consent
Voel altijd of er een wederzijdse ja is wanneer je met iemand samen danst. Respecteer je eigen grenzen én die van de ander.

? No Phones
Foto's en video's maken tijdens de dans is niet toegestaan. Zo blijft de dansvloer een plek waar iedereen zich vrij kan uitdrukken.

Locatie: Doxtudio Gent - Dok-Noord 7/107 - 9000 Gent (Ga naar het midden van het open plein en neem daar de roltrap naar de eerste verdieping) Je vind Doxtudio recht voor jou aan de roltrap. 

Tijdstip: elke vrijdagavond ook in vakanties 19u30 tot 22u30

Prijs: Een losse avond is 20 euro / Er zijn ook 10 beurtenkaarten dan is het 17 euro per dans / Studenten aan 15 euro / Cash te betalen aan de kassa.

Breng je eigen flesje water mee voor tijdens de dans.
