? Arctic Mirage – Echo uit het Noorden – Filmconcert
Geluidskunstenaar Tristan Visser en filmmaker Jeroen van de Bovenkamp stappen aan boord van zeilschip de Mae West op expeditie van Groenland naar Alaska, op zoek naar het lied van de Groenlandse walvis. Bultrugwalvissen, bekend om hun complexe melodieën, stonden al centraal in Tristans vorige film Onder Water (2019). De twee maanden durende reis voert via de Noordwestelijke Doorvaart en krijgt een onverwachte wending dankzij ontmoetingen met Inuit-muzikanten.

De film wordt vertoond in openlucht, met live muzikale performance van Tristan Visser.

Het scherm staat opgesteld aan de kade. Bootjes dobberen rond, het publiek nestelt zich op de oevers.
Breng je eigen vaartuig mee: kajaks, bootjes of vlotten welkom.
Lokale bar Micheline (Terneuzenlaan) serveert heerlijke spaghetti, fingerfood en frisse drankjes.

Beleef het event vanaf het water in een gehuurde kano!
Onze partner Dokano, vlak om de hoek bij het Kapitein Zeppospark (slechts 2 minuten peddelen), verhuurt kano’s voor 2 of 3 personen. Bekijk de ticketpagina voor alle details. (Prijs per persoon)

? Arctic Mirage – Echo from the North – Film Concert
Sound artist Tristan Visser and filmmaker Jeroen van de Bovenkamp board sailing vessel Mae West on an expedition from Greenland to Alaska, in search of the song of the bowhead whale.

Humpback whales, known for their complex melodies, were already central in Tristan’s earlier film Onder Water (2019).
The two-month journey follows the Northwest Passage and takes an unexpected turn through encounters with Inuit musicians.

The film is shown outdoors, accompanied by a live musical performance by Tristan Visser.
The screen is set up at the quay. Small boats drift around, while the audience settles on the banks.

Bring your own vessel: kayaks, boats, or rafts are welcome.

Local bar Micheline (Terneuzenlaan) serves delicious spaghetti, finger food, and refreshing drinks.

Join the event from the water in a rented canoe!
Our partner Dokano, located just around the corner at Kapitein Zeppospark (only a 2-minute paddle away), offers canoes for 2 or 3 people. Check the ticket page for details. (Price per person)
