author juliana gleeson is coming to rokko to talk about her new book 'hermaphrodite logic, intersex liberation'.
how does the intersex liberation movement learns us to rethink sex and gender? intersex people have been harmed not just for therapeutic reasons but to ease professional and parental anxieties. juliana gleeson reveals how a movement challenged systemic medical abuses to reshape our understanding of sex.
“‘hermaphrodite logic’ is exactly what antifascists need: an eminently usable ensemble of political theory and strategy grounded in historical counter-reality.” - sophie lewis, author of ‘abolish the family’
mees kempenaers is the host of the evening! mees’ research focuses on how trans and genderqueer poetry navigates the complex intersection between body, gender, and text. they study the conceptualization of the (un)natural in trans poetry, trans futurity and other queer temporalities.

rokko is a feminist, queer, radical bookstore and coffee bar. we invite everyone to participate in creating a safer space:

rokko is wheelchair accessible, but the toilet does not yet meet all conditions. the passage is wide enough and handles are provided, but the sink is quite close to the toilet bowl.
