Relictronica returns for its second edition, landing in Genoa at the Bonfim Club on Saturday, December 13. From 16:00 to 04:00, the event unfolds across twelve hours, shaping a continuous journey through daylight and night. The lineup mirrors the project’s core identity: sonic exploration, independent spirit, and a strong connection to the local and international scene.
Central to the program is GAEL, a DJ, producer, and composer from Dagestan, raised in Ukraine and now based in Berlin. Moving along the outer edges of techno and experimental electronics, they sculpt sound through texture, contrast, and shifting forms. Their work has appeared on labels such as BITE Records, Flash Recordings, and Standard Deviation, alongside performances at Berghain, Tresor, RSO, Nuits Sonores, and the Opera Forward Festival, where GAEL reimagined a classical composition with Dekmantel and Dutch Opera. Their alias shemovesshe expands this research into live, guitar-driven terrain, exploring vulnerability, rupture, and metamorphosis. Beyond the club, GAEL composes for films and interdisciplinary projects, treating sound as an ever-changing language shaped by migration and multiplicity.
The lineup also features Annie, an artist navigating fluidly through electro, hardgroove, progressive house, trance, and techno; and DJ Autogrill, known for eclectic selections and narrative, layered sets that blend acid, techno, and deconstructed pop influences, active between Genoa and Berlin.
