EACH CLASS HAS A MAXIMUM OF 8 SPOTS

This is a 3-week introduction to excavation that will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm - 8:30pm and Fridays and Saturdays, from 7:00am - 3:00pm. Class will consist of both classroom work and practical application. Each class must be attended to receive full credit for the class. Upon completion, you will have gained a solid foundation of operating a skid steer with attachments, mini excavator, and loader backhoe
This course will teach the basic knowledge, terms, safety, maintenance, and the operation of backhoe equipment. Rules to Dig By will be covered as well as proper setup and technique for digging. Students will also cover maintenance and “what if” situations needed on the job. The students will participate in a variety of real-world skill tasks that give them the understanding and experience to perform on the job. Backhoe and skid steer are covered so upon completion they will have the skills to become a competent operator.
