Z wielką przyjemnością zapraszamy na kolejne, tym razem 3-dniowe spotkanie z Shauną Wenzel, poświęcone relacji z psem. Będzie ono prowadzony w języku angielskim - jeśli będzie potrzeba, to dla uczestnika z psem jest możliwość tłumaczenia.
Podczas 3 dni będzie czas na teorie i na indywidualne wejścia z psami. Shauna startuje w obedience oraz w Rally-O FCI, ale zapraszamy także teamy pracujace w serch and rescue (obedience). Przewidujemy także miejsca dla obserwatorów.

Shauna Wenzel is back. For newcomers as well as repeat participants. This time we will have three days of team building with your dog. You will have the opportunity to learn to read your dog more closely and understand him better. What is he saying? Why is he barking or sniffing? Why can’t he work without rewards? Why is he always looking around in competitions? These are things that have their causes outside the obedience arena.
They are things that we as handlers can learn to read and understand. When we do that, we can learn how to help our dogs with their stress regulation, their displacement behaviour and their emotional stability. We can help them to build confidence in themselves so that we can have confidence in them and work together as a team in our preferred sport.
Whatever your sport, if you are interested in learning more about your dog and strengthening your team work, then these three days are for you.
We will start with understanding more about our dogs, their lives and how our expectations and interactions can affect their emotions.
We learn what it means to be self determined and why it helps us with our dogs later in our sports and what the difference is between the dogs inbred will to please and being self motivated and why this helps us to work with joy at the highest level with our dogs for many years.
The activities are designed to work on aspects such as:
- frustration tolerance
- self motivation
- how to deal with failing (humans as well as dogs)
- self regulation
- working on endurance
- communication (listening and answering your dog)
- helping you and your dog find solutions when things get difficult
- how to help your dog achieve his best potential without pressing him into a role of obeying commands
Participants will have the opportunity during these 3 days to optimise their Obedience training and develop solutions they can continue to use after the camp. The event is suitable for all skill levels, from young dogs to Class 3 competitors.
There are 10 places for active teams with dogs, but we will all work as a group - the learning opportunity is huge - so do not hesitate to come as a listener. All questions will be answered.
ABOUT SHAUNA:
Shauna Wenzel is one of the most successful dog sports competitors in Germany. She has been competing at the world championships almost every year since 2014 in obedience as well as rally obedience and has been on the podest several times.
However competing with dogs is not Shauna’s only passion - she is equally passionate about improving the quality of (sporting) dogs' lives and changing the way people think about them. She has a unique approach to living with and training dogs, based on a two way interaction with our dogs - rather than dogs “just” carrying out commands because they get cookies. Her focus is that the dog should be enjoying the sport as much as the person and you can see this in every performance she puts on, whether in obedience or rally obedience.
She is an advanced level accredited trainer under the British Kennel Club and is a successful graduate of the DogSense trainers course. As well as these two official behaviour courses, Shauna constantly strives to expand her knowledge, be it in epigenetics, physiological issues for the dog and so on. She has been working with leading behaviourist Kay Lawrence in the UK for over a year.
Shauna is also a mental coach for competitors in dog sport who struggle with nerves and anxiety in the ring.
