- **Event Description**: Nosework is a sport suitable for all dogs. It is a great sport for dogs that for example have a lot of energy and dogs that have problem behavior. Scent work is a way to use energy, use brain and learn to communicate and co’operate with a human. Mrs. Erkku Jussinheimo has been involved in nosework sport in Finland for 10 years. She has been a trainer and activist for the sport in Nose Work Finland club, which brought the sport to Finland 2015. This sport has been her life and job and her experience to train dog handlers and dog teams with big heart and talent is known through Finland. She has also worked with Jagna Gill and her trainer courses for years.

I’m happy to say that again I’m invited to talk about my favourite sport. On this lecture I will share to you what nosework is about, the origins with the sport, why it is a sport for all dogs and how trials benefit the nosework community. A sport to do att home and dogschools is nice, but without a goal, can it be a hobby without purpose. How to train dogteams for trials and how to organize them, that will be another part of my lecture.
