Bred to Race classes are open to both Thoroughbreds and Standardbred horses.

CR (Closed Restricted/Club Riders) plus Round 2 Bred to Race Dressage Series 


Preparatory 1,2 and 3 - CR classes
Preliminary 2 & 3 - CR classes
Novice 2 & 3 - CR classes
Elementary 2 & 3 - CR classes
Medium 2 & 3 - CR classes 

Preparatory, Preliminary, Novice -1, 2 and 3 classes for Bred to Race classes

Series Dates
• 18 July 2026 - COMPLETED
• Saturday 12th September 2026
• Saturday 3rd October 2026
• Saturday 21st November 2026
• Saturday 12th December 2026

Competitors may ride up to three tests at each competition. For series placings, the two highest-scoring tests from the day will be combined to determine the overall results.

Eligible classes include:
• Preparatory
• Preliminary
• Novice

Prize Money (awarded on the day)
🥇 1st Place – $50
🥈 2nd Place – $30
🥉 3rd Place – $20

Eligibility is based on the existing Off-The-Track criteria established by ThoroughCare SA.

Important Membership Information
All competitors must be current financial members of Mt Crawford Dressage Club for insurance purposes. To encourage participation, MCDC is currently offering pro-rata membership for the remainder of 2026 for just $35.

The aim of the series is to promote and celebrate the versatility, trainability and success of Off-The-Track racehorses in dressage. If the series is well supported, MCDC hopes to expand the concept in 2027, with the potential to offer additional classes and possibly separate divisions for Thoroughbred and Standardbred OTT horses.
