BEGINNERS HIKE @HALE Conservation Park

A hike designed for the beginner who would like to have a real hiking experience.
We will be starting 9:15am and hiking a 4km loop (anti'clockwise). There are some rocky paths and slight inclines/declines.
The scenery is stunning and there are some great lookout points, We will be taking a 15 minute break for a healthy snack and beautiful photo opportunities.
If we are lucky there may be some water at the little hidden waterfall!! On the flipside, if the sun is out; we will see sparkly trails from the mica previously mined here!
No hiking experience is necessary but you must be fit enough to do a normal 4km walk without struggling. As this is a beginners hike we will be going at a slower pace than normal, it's not a race :) We will also have time for many photos, plus a 15 minute morning tea break.
Even though it is a shorter distance; sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and adequate water is still essential. Hiking poles are very helpful on this hike (I will dig out some spares.
This would be great for anyone keen to start their fitness journey (I am very unfit myself currently!)
Also great for anyone interested in learning about hiking and all the amazing trails in SA!!!
No special gear needed, just wear comfy clothing and sturdy walking shoes.
BYO: minimum 1 litre of water & sun protection.
RECOMMENDED: trail snacks for halfway break, phone/camera, hiking poles, and anything else you may need/like!
Meet in the car park for 9:15am start.

Event is weather dependant (light rain won't stop us)
I will pack spare waterproof jackets in this case.
