Brass Roots
The Goethe-Institut invited veteran brass musicians Marcus Wyatt and Alex Hitzeroth to work with 12 emerging brass musicians from the brass band scene in Johannesburg to develop a programme of brass music on the theme of Joy.
Wyatt and Hitzeroth selected the works, composed new arrangements, and rehearsed with the musicians they recruited over December.
The selected ensemble will perform their repertoire at a concert at the Goethe-Institut on Saturday 26 January.
Come one, come all, and share an explosion of happy brass music with Marcus, Alex and 12 of the hottest young brass musicians in Johannesburg.
