In 1955 Club Martinique was situated in the long since demolished Royal Arcade on Pilgrim Street, Newcastle. It was the place to go for the youth of Newcastle to dance, listen to music and hang out. At the time the Club Martinique was so popular its dancers were featured in a ‘Jazz On Tyneside’ piece in the Picture Post. NOW.. inspired by all of this CLUB MARTINIQUE is back! well sort of .. 🥹).
