This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Gaston County Public Library, Gaston County Government, the Gaston 250 Committee, and the Gaston County Public Library.

In the year 1914, near the growing metropolis of Charlotte, North Carolina, where textile leader and inventor Stuart W. Cramer makes his home, a small mill area catches the eye and imagination of the man himself. In the years to follow, this community transforms into a “model mill village”, as Cramer utilizes his vision and savvy to expand all that is known and assumed about the textile industry. In other parts of the nation and globe, his children make their own mark: on battlefields and in industry; as parents and spouses; as society icons and philanthropic leaders; in Hollywood and The White House, and in wars that will once again alter the course of history.

The Cramerton Trilogy concludes with these stories . . .

The 20th century lineage of a family tree that spans generations and wars; triumphs and tribulations, all setting a course toward a little town named Cramerton. Covering a span of 32 years, Remember the Name is a story of the courage, patriotism, and faith of a great American family — and of the endearing and eternal branches and roots that connect the young and old, the past and the future, upon the wings of time.
