The Ashbrook Foundation 5K: Run the Wave takes place on Ashbrook High School’s Al Hess Cross Country Trail. The race begins on the football field and loops around the track before heading down to the 5K trail surrounding Audrey Field. Runners will complete multiple loops on a mix of dirt and grass paths, with some paved sections mixed in. The course features rolling terrain, including two fast downhills and a moderately steep hill that runners will tackle twice. After completing the final loop, participants make their way back up the hill and finish strong with a final lap around the track.
The 5K course is accurately measured to a full 5K distance. The 1-mile Fun Walk follows a shortened route, completing one loop around Audrey Field and measuring just over one mile.
A water and snack station will be available at the start/finish area, with two additional water stations located on the trail near the 1-mile and 2-mile markers, ensuring support throughout the course.
