We've made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Gary Air Show Weekend.

With Governor Braun declaring a statewide disaster emergency, our region's police, fire, and emergency personnel need to stay fully focused on helping residents and businesses recover from the recent storm damage. That has to come first.

"Our hearts are with the families, businesses, and neighborhoods that have been affected by these devastating storms," said Phil Taillon, CEO of the South Shore CVA. "The safety and well-being of our residents and visitors must come first."

Thank you to our partners, sponsors, performers, volunteers, and public safety agencies who put so much work into preparing for this year's event — and to every first responder and emergency crew working around the clock right now.

✈️ Gary Air Show Weekend returns to Marquette Park Beach on August 22-23, 2026!

Get ready for two days of high-flying excitement along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan as incredible aerial performers take to the skies. The beach will transform into a festival hub featuring food trucks, vendors, beachfront attractions, and a Kids Zone complete with waterslides and a playground for family-friendly fun.

? Air Show runs from 11 AM - 3 PM CT daily
? Parking Lots Open: 9 AM daily
?️ Parking: $40 per day or $60 for the weekend
?️ Air Show Admission: FREE
