Travel back to the 1870s and experience life at a frontier military fort during Frontier Military Days! Explore a fully equipped military encampment featuring authentic tents, period gear, and live demonstrations of tomahawk throwing, black powder gun firing, and the frontier trader lifestyle.

Hands-on skills and crafts from the Indian Wars era

While you’re here, be sure to visit the Guardhouse Interpretive Center, home to exhibits and artifacts from military life in the Dakota Territory.
This event is free to attend, with a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless you have a North Dakota State Parks annual pass.
