From Suzanne: Rider biomechanics is a science based approach to teaching riders how to use their bodies function in order to communicate to the horse the desired outcome in the moment. Based in both physics and neuroscience, this method truly teaches the “how” of riding in small, bite-size pieces, rather than overwhelming concepts. Developing awareness in the rider’s own mind-body connection is vital to gaining better influence over the horse. Every human body is different, and every horse’s body is different. Understanding how the two interface is essential to rider success. 

Is Biomechanics only for Dressage Riders? 
No! Since Rider Biomechanics is the scientific study of how human and equine bodies interact, it applies to horses and riders of ALL disciplines. Even recreation- only riders will benefit by learning to ride their horse in better balance, thus reducing the damage from concussive forces caused by imbalance or resistance. It is not voodoo;  correct biomechanics can be backed up by physics...not to mention the tangible evidence of happier, sounder, more willing horses!  Suzanne works with riders of any sport, including Dressage, Western Dressage, Eventing, Hunter/Jumper, and even Gaited!  If you're looking for a way to improve harmony and performance with your horse, look no further.
