🌩️ What is SKYWARN? 🌩️

SKYWARN is a nationwide volunteer program led by the National Weather Service that trains everyday people — to recognize and report severe weather. These real-time reports help meteorologists issue faster, more accurate warnings that protect lives and property.

From thunderstorms and flooding to tornadoes and winter storms, SKYWARN spotters become the eyes and ears of the National Weather Service when it matters most.
