Inspired by creator Jake Miskin's experiences as a Needham High School student and athlete, Shattered Ice is a fictional story grounded in real-life challenges facing today's young people. While hockey provides the backdrop, the film's message is universal—making it relatable to teens, parents, educators, coaches, and community members alike.

Why has this film resonated so strongly with audiences across Massachusetts? Because it creates a safe and engaging way to start conversations that can be difficult to have.
