Art of Breadmaking Baking Class

Find out what all the bread hype is about! There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread baking in the oven, and in this hands-on class you’ll discover just how rewarding (and fun) it is to make it yourself.


Chef Melissa Walnock, CIA-trained pastry chef and experienced instructor, will guide you step by step through the fundamentals of breadmaking—mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping, and baking. Along the way, she’ll share professional tips and techniques that you can easily recreate in your own kitchen.


Whether you’re brand new to bread or looking to sharpen your skills, this class will give you the confidence to work with yeast doughs and bring bakery-quality loaves to your table. Expect plenty of hands-on practice and the chance to shape your own creations.


This is a bake-and-take style class, so while you’ll enjoy the aroma and experience of baking together, the breads you create will be packaged up for you to bring home and savor later. By the end of the evening, you’ll head out with a generous assortment of fresh loaves—perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!).
