IT IS A SCAM. ============================================== From the website: " The Paladins + James Intveld THE PALADINS The Paladins, along with such rockin' bands as Los Lobos and the Blasters, were one of the leading lights in the California roots and rockabilly music scene of the early '80s. The band was formed by guitarist/vocalist Dave Gonzalez and bassist Thomas Yearsley in high school in San Diego during the late 1970s.With their old-school approach to rockin' R&B, blues, and rockabilly, the Paladins had a strong local following back then, as well as opening for such bands as X, the Blasters, the Stray Cats, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds (whose vocalist, Kim Wilson, produced the band's 1986 self-titled debut album). The Paladins followed up with several well-received albums on Alligator Records and went on to greater fame outside Southern California.Around 2004, Gonzalez began taken time away from the band for several side projects, including the Hacienda Brothers and the Stone River Boys. The group reunited in 2011 at the Ink & Iron Festival in Long Beach, Calif. Since then, they have made only rare live appearances, and haven't been seen in the LA area since Stellar's Smokin' Rockabilly New Years Eve in 2024. JAMES INTVELDJames Intveld is a Paladins contemporary who fronted the band Rockin' Shadows in the 80s, and was another leading roots music influencer during that time period. In fact, both bands appear on the renowned collectors item "LA Rockabilly" album. Intveld is widely considered a rare original talent, whose fame reaches back to voicing the music for Johny Depp in the seminal "Cry Baby" movie in 1990. More recently, Intveld's Honky Tonk Palominos have made a prominent name for themselves, while he also produces recordings and directs videos. When they get together on Friday, August 14 for the Summer Rock & Roll Extravaganza in Garden Grove, it will mark the first time in decades they have shared a stage. Intveld will be performing his signature Rockabilly Revue with special guests, paying tribute to many of your favorite roots artists as well as his own popular originals.
