- **Event Description**: Boise Rescue Mission’s Veterans Day Luncheon honors the Mission’s veterans and community members for their service and loyalty to this country.

President/CEO of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries, Rev. Bill Roscoe, who served in the Vietnam War, says, “It has been both an honor and a privilege to serve this country. We recognize and support the men and women who have so bravely defended our nation and cared for their fellow citizens. I want to express my deep gratitude to all Veterans—and especially to those who come to the Mission, make use of the help available, and go on to build a new chapter in their lives.”

In a coordinated effort with the Veterans Administration, the Rescue Mission’s Veterans Ministry Program is meeting the needs of homeless veterans in our community, without any Federal funding. Since its beginning in April 2010, the Veterans Ministry Program has helped more than 661 homeless veterans transition back to independence.
