- **Event Description**: Taught by the fabulous Casey O’Leary with Snake River Seed Cooperative.  This will be a two part class series and each section needs to be signed up for individually.

Section 1:

10am-11:30am Seed Saving 101 & Wet Seed Processing

We'll cover:
- How to save your own high-quality organic seeds
- What is a "wet" seed?
- How to know when your wet seeds are mature
- Cleaning, drying, and storing wet seeds (hands-on practice!)

Section 2: 

12pm-1:30pm Organic Dry Seed Processing

We'll cover:
- Whether to save seeds from a particular plant
- What is a "dry" seed?
- Harvesting and curing dry seeds
- Threshing & winnowing dry seeds (hands-on practice!)
- Storing seeds

This project is supported through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP). TOPP is a program of the USDA Organic Transition Initiative and is administered by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) National Organic Program (NOP).
