- **Event Description**: (6pm) Meet at Valley View Cemetery at the covered seating area near the north end. We'll begin with a short, hands-on introduction to the tools of the trade and a quick demo on the art of making rubbings. Then it's time to explore. Buddy-up if you’d like and we'll head out for an hour of creative discovery through Valley View Cemetery, visiting stones, monuments, and markers to capture the textures, patterns, and engravings that tell the stories of those who came before us.

After our adventure (leave about 7:10), we'll gather back together at Garden City Arts to share discoveries, stories, and favorite impressions. You'll select the rubbings that speak to you most and present them in a small mat that's ready for framing. Best of all, your rubbing kit is yours to keep, so the exploration can continue long after class ends!
