Carla Ulbrich calls herself a professional smart aleck, which she is, but one with a huge dose of musical talent. Her original songs and parodies skewer everyday life, relationships, and modern absurdities - without punching down. She has appeared for events including Ladies of Laughter,  The Long Island Comedy Festival, MENSA, Medicaid, The Philly Folk Festival and PBS.

Fearlessly and without blushing, she sings about the absurdities of mystery maladies, trying to be romantic with a Klingon, and praises her husband's ex-girlfriends for making her look normal by comparison. 

Carla has released 9 albums, and her funny songs have been aired on Dr. Demento, SiriusXM Comedy Radio, the BBC and NPR's Weekend Edition.Check her out at http://www.carlau.com. 

John Forster's 1994 debut album Entering Marion got an Indie Award HM (the independent record labels’ Grammy) for Best Comedy Album. Many of his witty topical songs have been featured on NPR’s “Morning Edition.” His songs have been recorded by Christine Lavin, Judy Collins, Rosanne Cash and the late Dave Van Ronk, among many others. His song "Entering Marion" (the title track of his first album) is included in Dr. Demento’s “50 Greatest Novelty Songs Of All Time.”

He is also widely praised and recognized as a songwriter and producer of other artists and has been nominated for four Grammy awards for songs for children; among the artists he has worked with in that capacity are Tom Chapin, the Olsen Twins, Faith Hill, and 'Freaky Friday' composer Mary Rodgers.
