- **Event Description**: SSIUC Social Justice Committee, in collaboration with Affirming Connections of the United Church of Canada, presents Queer & Faithful Friday Night Cinema. 

Friday June 26 – At General Council 42 in 2015 the United Church  voted to have a national project of story-sharing and dialogue with people affected by the Church’s 1988 decision declaring sexual orientation was not a barrier to participation in the life and work of the Church, including eligibility for ordination. These stories would then help the church to discern if, and how, it might live into an apology to the church’s LGBTQ and Two-Spirit people. “The Iridesce Theatre Presentation” is a play in three acts. All the words of the script have emerged from the Iridesce Project, and are the memories and words of Iridesce participants.
