Did you know we have an observatory right here in Knox County?

Sometimes the most remarkable things are closer than we realize.

The Knox Dads group is partnering with the Physics Department at Kenyon College for A Night at the Observatory, an evening to step outside, slow down, and look up together. Their team will guide us through the night sky above Knox County, helping us find planets, constellations, and whatever else happens to be shining back at us that night.

We’ll begin viewing at 9 - 9:30 PM when the sky is good and dark. We expect to wrap up around 11:00 PM.

Parking is available right at the observatory. Bring your kids. Bring their questions. Whether they’re already fascinated by space or just curious about what’s out there, this is one of those simple experiences that sticks with you. Being outside. Learning something new. Sharing it together.

At its core, this is about more than telescopes. It’s about connection. With our kids. With each other. With the bigger universe we’re all a small part of.
