The Whileaways will share the stage with two gifted friends whose instrumental mastery will bring new colour the trio's celebrated harmonies.
Matt Berrill (Brass & Reeds): A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger, Matt Berrill is an integral member of numerous ensembles across the jazz, traditional Irish, and improvised music spheres, including the Irish Memory Orchestra and Ensemble Ériu. An accomplished musician who has worked with artists like Mick Flannery, Matt's rich brass and reed instrumentation will bring a warm, festive depth to The Whileaways' repertoire.
Maria Ryan (Violin): An award-winning Irish violinist, Maria is celebrated for her versatility across classical, traditional Irish, folk, and jazz music. As a former leader of the CSM Symphony Orchestra and a member of the contemporary Irish ensemble "Strung," Maria's masterful violin playing will weave stunning, intricate melodies throughout the trio's hauntingly beautiful Christmas set.
The performance promises to be an evening of extraordinary musical richness and intimacy—the perfect way to ring in the Christmas season.
