Author talk - Lucy O'Callaghan, author of Obsession

Join us at Galway City Library at 3pm on Saturday 22 November 2025 when author Lucy O'Callaghan will read from her new book Obsession, and answer a few questions about life as a writer, where she gets her ideas, and whether any Galway people inspired her characters. Free event but booking required.

Lucy is an Irish Times bestseller. Her first novel is The Lies Beneath and was published in 2024. Her second, Obsession, was published in April 2025, and is a story of stalkers, secrets and second chances. A self-confessed people watcher, stories that happen to real people have always fascinated her and this motivated her move to writing contemporary women’s fiction. Her writing has been described as pacy, human, moving, and very real.
