Join us for the tail-wagging adventure of the year at the 1st Annual Galveston Island Doggy Easter Egg Hunt! On March 29th, bring your furry friends to the West End Dog Recreation Area in beautiful Galveston for a hopping good time! Sponsored by Wagabonz and The City of Galveston, this event promises fun for pups and their humans alike.
Watch as your canine companions scurry to sniff out hidden Easter eggs filled with treats and toys. Not only is entry free, but we’ll also be accepting donations to help support our local rescue organizations, so your contribution helps more than just a good time!
Get ready for an afternoon packed with prizes, swag, and lots of tail wags. Every pup is a winner at this egg-citing event! Don’t miss out on making memories with fellow dog lovers and giving back to our furry friends in need. Grab your leashes and let the hunt begin! 🐾🥚🌷. Dog Easter Egg Hunt Rules
1. Eligibility: All dogs must be well-behaved, friendly, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Owners must have control of their pets at all times.
2. Leash Requirements: Dogs must remain leashed during the event. Ensure your leash is secure and comfortable for your dog.
3. Egg Collection: Each dog "collects an egg" when they touch it in any way (nose, paw, etc). Be respectful of others and ensure fair play during the hunt.
4. Supervision: Owners must supervise their dogs throughout the event. Keep an eye out for your dog's safety and the well-being of others.
5. Egg Contents: Eggs will contain dog-safe treats and toys. Please check the contents of each egg before allowing your dog to consume anything.
6. Respect the Venue: Help keep the West End Dog Recreation Area clean. Clean up after your dog and dispose of waste properly.
7. Prizes and Swag: There will be one Golden ticket per size group. The dog who finds it in their egg will win the Grand prize basket. There will be various prizes in eggs as well. After the hunt, Winners will be announced for various categories, including Most Eggs Collected and Best Costume. Participation is encouraged, and everyone will receive a little something!
8. Health and Safety: If your dog shows signs of distress, aggression, or illness, please remove them from the event immediately.
9. Donations Welcome: While the event is free, donations to a local rescue is encouraged and greatly appreciated.
10. Have Fun: Enjoy the festivities, meet fellow dog lovers, and create unforgettable memories with your furry friends!
