Horticulture Programs at the Galva Senior Center

Join University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator Emily Swihart for a fun and informative gardening program in partnership with the Galva Library. Join us at the Galva Senior Center and dive deeper into these two topics. (Come to one or both):

• 10:00 AM – Trees and Natural Disasters: How do storms affect trees? Learn how to prepare your trees for natural disasters, respond during weather events, and support recovery afterward.
• 1:00 PM – Container Gardening Made Easy: No yard? No problem! Learn how to select containers and soil, choose the right plants, and care for your container garden with ease.
