- **Event Description**: Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters largest annual fundraising event that support youth mentoring services. This event is fun for all ages and is great for team building!

The goal is to get 5 people on your team and each person is responsible for raising at least $100 so $500 collectively. This can be done through asking friends, family and colleagues for donations. Donations can also be collected online once your team is signed up or your team can raise funds through things like bake sales, garage sales etc.

 

On the day of the event, April 26th, there are 5 time slots that teams can choose from.

Teams then come at the time they choose that day, bowl for 2 hours, get lunch and an event T-shirt. It is then basically a big party to celebrate all the funds that have been raised.

We also give out bowling pin trophies to the teams and individuals who raise the most money as well to the teams with the most team spirit.

 

Each year, this event has a theme. This year’s theme is Children’s Books! We encourage participants to dress up in their favorite children’s book characters and to bring a book on the day of the bowling event so we can give books to all the littles in our program.

We are excited about the theme this year because it promotes literacy and gets kids excited about reading.
