Advanced Group Class, 8 weeks, 15 May | Event in Galesburg | Advanced Group Class, 8 weeks
Advanced Classes - Pack Walks, 1 - 2 hrs
- 8 week course
- Classes will be held on Saturdays at 4pm starting May 15th
- $115 for first timers & $100 for those taking it again
- Different Locations each week
- TO ATTEND this Advanced Class--Pack Walks, you must have taken, and completed the Beginner Class with Heather's Fabulous Dog Care/Galesburg Animal Hospital.
"This is an 8-week, advanced obedience class for dogs 6 months, and older (unless highly trained at 4-5 months). This class still focuses on basic commands such as sit, slow, heeling & halting, down, leave it, watch me, stay, & come but the HUGE difference is our classroom will be out in public. We will walk as a pack in public places such as: parks, downtown Galesburg, pet friendly stores, and more. We will walk as a group, and use the training cues were learned in basic. We will work on all the training cues we learned in the basic class in new environments, full of distraction. We will spread out after dogs gets more comfortable with each other in our class, and we will safely walk between each other. Cell phones will be silenced for safety from unnecessary distractions & people losing control of dogs.
I recommend using a 6 foot leather or nylon. Flexi-leads/retractable leashes are not allowed. The following collars are accepted: flat, martingale, choke chain, head halters/gentle leaders, and pinch collars. However, I recommend pinch collars, martingale collar or choke chains because they work best when correcting dogs that are pulling or misbehaving, and as a handler you will have better control. E-collars welcome if you have been trained to use them appropriately. Also, basket muzzles required for dogs who are reactive or dislike other dogs.
I recommend comfortable clothing, and tennis shoes but no flip flops, or sandals. You must bring your own treats and poop bags. Also, no face to face interactions with dogs. Dogs must be kept 3 feet apart from one another for safety reasons.
Needed for class: training treats, poop bags, 6 foot leash, 15-25 foot long line, appropriate collar (with backup carabiner clip for pinch collars or collars with plastic buckle).
After signing & paying for class, private message me, Heather, @ Heather's Fabulous Dog Care on Facebook at:
or email me at: am95ZnVsc3Bpcml0NzYgfCB5YWhvbyAhIGNvbQ==, so I can connect with you. Then, I will contact you each week to tell you where we will meet at, since where we will be meeting will depend on weather conditions. If everyone has Facebook, I will make a group page on Facebook for class, and if not, I will email you beforehand."
Thank you,

While you go away on vacation, your dog would be able to stay in the environment that they are most comfortable in, which would be their home. I would come care for them. I can also walk and exercise them while you are busy or at work.
