We are fiscally sponsored by Angels for Angels and based in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.In 2024 we started with a 30-person pilot. In 2025 we grew to 195 participants across two events with a 40 percent repeat attendance rate. In 2026 we are running seven events with 600+ expected participants, including events at Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary, Lake Halcyon, the Anacostia RiverFest, and more.Why We Need VolunteersWe are creating shared moments between kids and the adults in their lives. A kid catching a fish is great. A kid catching a fish with their parent or guardian standing next to them is something different.Volunteers make these moments possible. Whether you are helping at an event, supporting our community outreach, or contributing skills behind the scenes, you are helping us build something that matters across the DMV.Ways You Can HelpWe have multiple ways to get involved depending on your interests and availability. You do not have to do everything. We will train you on anything you need to know on the day of the event.
