ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Using a sheer, hand-dyed silk scarf as a base, workshop participants will apply colorful wool to create a lovely wearable art accessory. Fiber artist Patti Barker will demonstrate the technique of Nuno felting, in which the wool is laminated to the silk with the use of soap, water and bubble wrap.

SUPPLIES:
Bring a full-size pair of scissors, all other supplies included with workshop fee.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Early fascination with fabrics and fashion came from Patti’s seamstress mother. The main focus of her work has been creating wearable art with the use of silk, wool and soapy water. She graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art and a concentration in fibers. An award-winning fiber artist, Patti Barker lives in a sprawling farm house in North Central Florida with her husband and two fine pups. Learn more about her at www.pattibarker.com
