- **Event Description**: Pushing the Zone Panel and Q&A 6:30 pm We’ll help you leave with the confidence and know-how to grow plants far outside their “normal” season or USDA zone. After a quick 3–5 minute welcome, we’ll introduce our panelists and set the stage — this is all about practical, repeatable techniques, not theory. Each grower will kick off by showing us an unusual plant they’ve succeeded with, where it’s supposed to grow, and why it struggles here. 

Then we’ll dig into the challenge itself: what conditions that plant actually expects, and what our climate is missing. From there, panelists will share what really worked, what flopped, and what they’d never do again. We’ll make it replicable for you with straight answers on varieties, planting timing, soil, water, fertility, protection, and the beginner mistakes to dodge. 

We’ll keep it real about the workload, whether it’s worth it, and the biggest surprises after multiple seasons. Then comes a fast Lightning Round for favorite tools, busted myths, and one “must-try” plant, followed by your questions in our audience Q&A. 

We’ll close with each panelist’s one takeaway they hope you remember. By the end, you’ll have a playbook for pushing your garden’s boundaries — on purpose.
