Goals for this lesson:
Practice layering and blending acrylic paints to create depth and dimension

Mix rich winter colors and add detail to bring their Nutcracker to life

Develop skills in balance, symmetry, and thoughtful composition

Learn patience and persistence by completing a multi session project

In Part One, students will paint the background and block in the main shapes of their Nutcracker. 

In Part Two, they’ll focus on details from the uniform accents to the expressive face adding texture, highlights, and personality to finish their festive masterpiece.

Supplies Needed:

A variety of acrylic paint colors (including white and black)

A selection of paintbrushes in different sizes and shapes

Optional: metallic paints for decorative details

No prior painting experience is needed just imagination, enthusiasm, and a love for holiday creativity!
