Welcome to **English Country Dance on Mondays**! Join us for a fun evening of traditional English folk dancing to live music every Monday evening at the United Church of Gainesville. 

Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the lively music and friendly atmosphere. Grab a partner or come solo - either way you're sure to have a great time. No partner or experience necessary. So put on your dancing shoes and come on down to our weekly event!

English Country Dance (ECD) is a form of social dance that originated in England in the late 16th century and continued to evolve through the 17th and 18th centuries. It involves groups of people dancing together in sets or lines following a series of figures or patterns called out by a caller. The dance is characterized by its lively and structured movements often accompanied by traditional folk music.

We dance every Monday (including holidays) 6-8:30 pm at United Church of Gainesville. Arrive early to sign in and join the beginners lesson. No partner or experience necessary.
