We, the members of the reenactment group *Régiment Royal Écossois*, invite you to a workshop focusing on combat with the Highland Broadsword as a primary weapon and the targe (shield) as a secondary weapon.

The workshop will take place within the setting of a historical encampment and will be led by one of our members, Heiko Große (Trainer at Triskelion Combat & Full Instructor at the Cateran Society).

Based on the fencing manuals of renowned 18th-century masters—techniques utilized by both civilian and military fencers, and which bear strong parallels to the combat styles of most 18th-century regiments—this workshop will begin by focusing on the fundamental principles of swordsmanship, upon which we will subsequently build. Beginners and experienced fighters alike—whether from the world of competitive fencing or historical reenactment—are warmly welcome to attend.

The participation fee is €45.00 per person. Participation in the workshop is possible even without period attire (i.e., in normal clothing) and is open to day guests.
