Join The NOVA Social Club for a meaningful morning of impact as we partner with Northern Virginia Family Service Head Start to support early childhood education in our community.

This volunteer experience is centered around giving back through connection, creativity, and mentorship. You will have the opportunity to work directly with children ages 3–5, helping to build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

**About the Program**\
NVFS Head Start promotes school readiness for children from low-income families by supporting their cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Through education, health, and social services, they are helping build strong foundations for the next generation.

**What You’ll Be Doing**\
Volunteers will lead small group classroom activities, including:\
• Interactive story time\
• Arts & crafts or simple games\
• Engaging, hands-on learning experiences

Each volunteer group will help create a consistent and memorable experience for every child.

**Suggested Theme**\
In celebration of mindfulness and wellness, consider a yoga-inspired activity such as Alphabet Yoga, Animal Yoga, or Garden Yoga to help children learn calmness and self-awareness.

**What to Bring**\
• 8 copies of the same children’s book (ages 3–5)\
• Materials for a simple craft or activity\
• Positive energy and patience

**Volunteer Attire**\
Casual and comfortable. Closed-toe shoes required.\
(No sandals, heels, or flip-flops. Dress appropriately for a preschool setting.)

**Parking & Arrival**\
Parking is limited. Do NOT park in the shopping center across the street (vehicles may be towed).\
Recommended parking:\
• South Lang Street near the community garden\
• Head Start lot (park closely behind others)\
Please use the crosswalk at the light on South Glebe Road.

**Spots are LIMITED**\
This is a small, hands-on volunteer experience to ensure quality interaction with the children. Secure your spot early.
