Under One Sky: 🪐 A Community Evening of Stargazing & Perspective  

In a time when so much of our public conversation feels divided and small, we invite you to step outside—together—and look up.

Join us for an evening of shared wonder and reflection beneath the stars, a community gathering designed to reconnect us with the bigger picture and with one another. Under the same vast sky that has guided humanity for millennia, we’ll explore what unites us rather than what divides us.
Guiding us on this journey is Matt Krug, widely known as the Star Wizard. With warmth, clarity, and quiet magic, Matt blends astronomy, mythology, and seasonal sky lore into an experience that is as grounding as it is inspiring.
Under clear skies, the evening begins with a guided tour of the night sky, helping participants learn to locate familiar constellations and seasonal celestial highlights—Orion, the Milky Way, and other prominent features visible to the naked eye. Along the way, Matt shares stories from cultures around the world, revealing how ancient peoples used the stars as a calendar, compass, and source of meaning—a reminder that long before borders and ballots, we all looked to the same heavens.

This program beautifully weaves science and storytelling, making it accessible to all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a first-time stargazer or someone who already knows the sky well, Matt’s engaging style invites curiosity, humility, and awe.

Dress warm, bring chairs, blankets, binoculars, if you have them. and the kids!     

Hot “Celestial" Chocolate provided by the Oxford County Democrats and some of our local candidates for state and local office will be on hand for you to meet.
