ABOUT ART GOODTIMES — Art Goodtimes is an American poet, farmer and politician in Colorado. Goodtimes was first elected to the San Miguel County Board of Commissioners in 1996 as a Democrat. He switched to the Green Party of Colorado in 1998 and was re-elected in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012.

ABOUT ELLEN METRICK — Well into adulthood and despite decades of fighting it, I am beginning to accept that I’m what I once thought I wanted to be: a relatively self-sufficient jane-of-many-trades. I’ve taught school, run rivers for a living, made and shoveled snow, lived in my truck and a tipi, built a straw bale home with my (late) husband and raised a lovely, thoughtful and creative human being. I’ve tried to fix my lawnmower. Poetry has been my lifeblood since before I can remember. Sometimes, I can be found on stage with my dear poet friends Art Goodtimes and Daiva Chesonis as the Writes Mesa Gang and with other poets from the Western Slope.

I have two published books of poetry: Poetisattva (2000) and Teasing out the Divine (2012). I dabble in creative nonfiction and am deep in a fiction project. I write for local newspapers and magazines and am a creative and line editor who partners clients on their passion projects. And I’m in love. Life is good. Except for that lawnmower.

ABOUT WENDY VIDELOCK — Wendy Videlock is an award winning poet and syndicated newspaper columnist.  She lives in Western Colorado in the agricultural town of Palisade.  She serves as the regions's sixth poet laureate of Western Colorado. Her poems, reviews, and essays appear most notably in Best American Poetry, Poetry Magazine, O Magazine, Hudson Review, Hopkins Review, Rattle, The New York Times, and American Life in Poetry. Her books include  What's That Supposed to Mean, (EXOT Books), Nevertheless, Slingshots & Love Plums, The Dark Gnu, Wise to the West, (Able Muse Press) and a book of essays: The Poetic Imaginarium: A Worthy Difficulty, (Lithic Press).

ABOUT DANNY ROSEN — Danny Rosen is a poet. He founded and runs the Lithic Press and Bookstore. He is the author of a number volumes of poetry including Suspended Erosion, The Tuscan Journals and Primate Poems.
