# Event Details - **Event Name**: YOUNG PICASSOS- ART CLASSES FOR HOMESCHOOLERS AGES 9-12 - SEPTEMBER SESSION - **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 15 Sep, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Tue, 15 Sep, 2026 at 02:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: These classes are designed for homeschoolers - Ages 9-12 Grades 4-7 About the curriculum: The students create works of art exploring various mediums (paint, oil crayons, pastels, color pencils, graphite, and clay) using famous artists, literature, music and science as inspiration for projects. We will explore drawing techniques, painting techniques, composition, and perspective. Lessons incorporate color, form, line, shape, space and texture. Most importantly, the children have fun creating and expressing themselves through art. The September session will meet for 3 Tuesdays: 9/15, 9/22 and 9/29 Time: 1pm - 2pm We do have discounts if you have more than one child enrolled in our programs. You will have to reach out to me to arrange that. These classes will take place at Calvary Episcopal Church, Weber Hall, 11 West 2nd Street. Parking is across the street. For safety purposes, children need to be dropped off at the classroom door. Parents are welcome to stay either in the class or across the hall. Class policies: We understand that scheduling conflicts do happen. You may cancel your session registration for a full refund up to 48 hours before the session begins by phone or messaging. No refunds will be issued after this time. About the instructor: Miss Laura’s philosophy of teaching is encouraging self-expression in art, building up the child’s self-esteem, confidence, and taking pride in the work they create. Laura Corebello is an artist and a licensed art teacher who has taught art in the public schools of New Jersey and Virginia for 30 years. She has written curriculums for NJ and VA private and public schools.
