Spring Reading Retreat

Join us this spring for our first reading retreat in the gorgeous setting of .

This isn’t a traditional retreat full of activities, but rather a morning simply spent with other book lovers reading together. Slow down, take a moment with a book you love and enjoy a morning with other people who can’t imagine a better way to spend a couple of hours.

Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you’ll leave with a sense of relaxation that can only come from a few hours offline, outside and with others who are similarly losing themselves in imaginary worlds.

• A digital detox (your phone stays in your pocket or bag)
• A chance to read uninterrupted, in a cozy setting
• A way to be with others, to get out of the house and take a break from work
• A moment to rest if you're feeling burnt out, stressed or overwhelmed

• A book (or two) you’d love to read
• Something to sit on (a cushion, blanket, or folding chair)
• Weather-appropriate clothing (if its rainy we’ll get cozy in the farmhouse, if the sun is shining, we’ll spread out across the farm

We'll take care of the rest — including a few small, thoughtful touches to make the morning feel quietly magical.

Reading isn’t just one of our favourite ways to spend time. It’s also proven to:

• Lower stress levels and heart rate
• Improve attention span and memory
• Enhance empathy and emotional resilience
• Offer our brains a deep, restorative form of rest

When we read in community, we also experience the benefits of shared presence, which also supports our mental wellbeing.
