This practical workshop, run by the Business Skills Hub, is a practical , confidence building bookkeeping workshop designed for self employed individuals who need to keep accurate financial records but are often overwhelmed by accounting systems and terminology.

The session focuses on simple compliant bookkeeping using excel , while also introducing participants to digital account ing software such as Xero and Quik books so they understand their options as their business grows

This is not software training or sales let- it is about building understanding , good habits and financial confidence

- Understanding what is bookkeeping and why it matters

-Record income and expenses accurately using excel

-Understand the difference between turnover, profit and cash

-Reconcile their records and their bank statements

-Know wheat records HMRC expect adn how long to keep them

-Understand when Excel is sufficient and when software may be helpful

-have a clear non technical overview of Xero and Quick books
