From his aesthetic theories and abstract sketches, to the ecological implications of his ideas, the documentary poetically reveals how Oudolf upends conventional notions of nature, public space, and ultimately, beauty itself.The screening will take place in the Bourgeois Gallery, with seats being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that the screening will start promptly at 6 pm.Duration: 75 minutesRating: ULanguage: In English and Dutch (with English subtitles)Tickets are free, but we welcome donations to our 2026 – 2027 charity partner. Advance booking is essential. This event is open to all, but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.The gallery will close at 5 pm, but the garden will remain open late until 6 pm. Da Costa will be taking dinner reservations until 9.30 pm. You are welcome to purchase drinks beforehand to enjoy during the screening, but we cannot permit red wine in the gallery.About Piet OudolfPiet Oudolf is one of the most significant and acclaimed landscape designers in the world today, renowned for his radical approach to planting. A leading figure in the New Perennial movement, his projects are characterized by a strong pictorial relationship to a garden’s composition and layout. Inspired by art, nature and time, Oudolf’s gardens are achieved through areas of naturalistic planting, using swathes of perennials and grasses combined with structured pathways, shrubs and trees.Oudolf created the landscaping scheme for Hauser & Wirth Somerset, which includes Oudolf Field, our 1.5-acre perennial meadow behind the gallery, and the courtyard in front of Da Costa.
